Most generously donated in 2017 by Dr. Graham Turrall and Ms. Marlys Edwardh, CM. A Rhodes Offshore 40, Jilàsi was gifted for the purpose of advancing the Broad Reach mission to foster the development of vulnerable youth through the sport, science and experience of sailing. Jilàsi was designed by prominent naval architect Philip Rhodes and built in Cheoy Lee Shipyards. It was launched in 1966, and since then has been meticulously restored. Jilàsi is a Mi’kmaq word meaning: Welcome honoured guest.
